will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.”
5. He whose life would serve as cornerstone and foundation
a. Isa. 28.14-18 – [16] therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: “Whoever believes will not be in haste.”
b. Zech. 4.7 – Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”
c. Ps. 118.22 – The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
6. His life would be a light for the Gentiles, Isa. 49.6 – he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the pre served of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
