3. All of Jesus’ miracles were signs of his kingly authority as Messiah to reassert God’s kingdom rule on earth

4. Jesus’ ministry as signs of his kingly right to demonstrate God’s power in our world, Acts 10.36-38 – As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all), [37] you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed: [38] how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Matt. 4.23-25 – And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. [24] So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them. [25] And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.” 5. Everywhere Jesus went he demonstrated through his miracles and healings God’s kingdom rule come to earth,

B. The Kingdom’s authority has now been demonstrated in Jesus: exorcisms and demonic oppression

1. Jesus’ overthrow of the demons in exorcism and command are signs of his Messiahship.

a. He healed the demon-possessed boy, Mark 9.14-29.
