B. Critical implications

1. Jesus’ entrance into the world is the literal beginning of the end of time as we know it, and the fading away of chaos and evil in this age, 1 John 3.8 – Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

2. Those who believe in Christ share in his victory over death, sin, the devil, and the world; it is only a matter of time.

a. Rom. 16.20 – The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

b. Col. 2.15 – He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

c. Heb. 2.14 – Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.

d. Luke 10.18 – And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

e. John 12.31 – Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.

3. Your life and ministry can never go any further than your affirmation and appropriation of the victory and triumph that Christ has won for us .
