b. Col. 3.11 – Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.
2. The power of biblical perspective . The Revelation of John establishes that regardless of how things look, appear, or fare for the people of God outwardly, nothing can prevent the completion of the plan of God in the world through Christ.
a. Heb. 11.1 – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
b. Heb. 11.6 – And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
c. 2 Cor. 10.4-5 – For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. [5] We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. 3. The Christ of Scripture versus the Christ of the imagination . We must be careful always to worship, teach, preach, and serve the risen and ascended Lord of all, the one who will soon return to reign forever with his Bride. Any lesser notion of Jesus is neither worthy of our faith nor sufficient to engage in spiritual warfare .
