[4] I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. [5] And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.”
5. He did precisely what the Father commanded of him; he did nothing of his own accord or authority, John 5.30; 8.28; 12.49; 5.19-20; Phil. 2.6-8.
6. He was a powerful and wonderfully attractive personality.
a. Although he was perfect and righteous, his demeanor and openness made him completely attractive to sinners and ungodly people, Matt. 9.10-11; 11.19.
b. He identified with the lowly and the poor, and included those who were socially ostracized within his own company, Luke 14.12-14, 21.
c. He went beyond the bounds of typical righteousness, and showed no partiality to any willing to embrace his call to the Kingdom, John 8.3-10.
d. He affirmed his mission to seek and save the lost, Luke 19.10 – For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
7. His character was flawless; he was without sin, fault, or guilt (perfect holiness in all his thoughts, ways, and conduct).
