c. The pulse of the priesthood: offering official and formal acknowledgment of God’s spiritual provision and blessing

(1) Consecrated to God

(2) Offered the sacrifices to God according to his will

(3) Represented the people before God

(4) Pronounced God’s forgiveness and blessing

3. The priesthood is universal: all believers in Christ Jesus have been made priests and priestesses of the Most High .

a. All Christians are asked to intercede and represent God on behalf of other believers: “one anothers.”

(1) Gal. 6.2 – Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

(2) Gal. 5.13-14 – For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. [14] For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
