(b) Rev. 4.8 – And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

B. The Personal Dimensions: worship involves setting aside time to glorify God with singing, thanksgiving, and adoration.

1. We must cultivate worship as a rule, in the same way that the priesthood ministered in the things of God in the Temple.

a. God set apart the Temple as a place where prayer would be made to his name and worship would be offered to his person, 2 Chron. 7.12-14 – Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. [13] When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, [14] if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” b. God is attributed to the building of the sanctuary, Ps. 78.68-69 – but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loves. [69] He built his sanctuary like the high heavens, like the earth, which he has founded forever. c. God has chosen Zion as his dwelling place, Ps. 132.13-14 – For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: [14] “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.”
