3. Does the Lord lead me in my day to day walk with him? Am I able to recognize the promptings of the Holy Spirit during my routines each day? Do I hesitate to respond to the Lord’s leading personally? To what extent do I participate with others in the body to hear God’s voice to us? 4. Would others define me as a person who is joyful? In what ways do I celebrate the Lord’s goodness in my life? Do I “party in the Lord,” in other words, do I feel strange when asked to enjoy the Lord in the presence of others? What hinders me most in celebrating the Lord more in the presence of his people?
B. Connection to your witness, preaching and teaching in urban ministry contexts
1. How well do the students I teach understand and apply the Bible’s teaching on the nature of confessing sin, both to the Lord as well as to others? How does my church understand this discipline? What ways can I challenge them to practice confession more in the context of their small group and church setting?
2. What are three specific things I can emphasize or introduce to my students to help refresh and invigorate their worship experience personally? What about their participation in worship in the body?
3. How can I immediately help my students understand how to personally receive guidance from the Lord in their personal lives? In the context of church, what tangible steps can we take to help us hear what God might be saying to us in connection to his will and calling on our lives together?
