h. Heb. 12.1-3 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [2] looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [3] Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

2. The exegetical interpretation

a. The righteous must not give up because the harvest you seek will only come in God’s perfect timing .

b. All things come to completion in their time , which God has appointed, Eccles. 3.11 – He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. c. You cannot rush the harvest of God . He has built into the very fiber of the world a timing that only he can determine and fulfill. To reap a spiritual harvest you must learn to sow righteously and wait on the Lord to fulfill his plan in his own time. (1) Ps. 27.13-14 – I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! [14] Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! (2) Hos. 10.12 – Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
