A Prayer for the Mega-cities of the World Rev. Dr. Don L. Davis (Adapted from “A Prayer for This Mega-city, Argentina,” Kathy Black of Prayerpost)

You desire that the citizens of This Mega-city seek and find you. Acts 17.27 – that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us. Thank you for not being far from the people of This Mega-city. Acts 17.27 – that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us. Help the people of This Mega-city to be a people who live and move and have their being in you. Acts 17.28 – for “In him we live and move and have our being”; as even some of your own poets have said, “For we are indeed his offspring.” Empower your people to be salt and light to the poor and oppressed in This Mega-city. Matt. 5.14-16 – You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. [15] Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. [16] In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Citizens of This Mega-city, . . . repent and turn to God. Acts 17.30 – The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. You destined the people of This Mega-city to live in this city and we bless each one. Acts 17.26 – And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place.
