Plot
Introduction and Rising Action 1. Because of the miracles he is performing, a large crowd of about 5,000 people follow Jesus east of the Sea of Galilee. 2. Jesus asks his disciple Philip how they are going to get food for the crowd. 3. Philip replies that six months’ wages would not buy enough food for them. Climax 4. Andrew finds a young boy who has five loaves of bread and two fish. 5. Jesus takes the small meal, gives thanks to God, and begins to distribute the bread and fish to all those around. 6. Everyone is able to eat as much as they want. Falling Action and Resolution 7. When everyone is full, the disciples pick up twelve baskets full of leftover fragments. 8. The people proclaim that Jesus is the Lord’s prophet.
