Plot

Introduction and Rising Action 1. Jesus crosses the Sea of Galilee by boat. 2. As soon as Jesus steps ashore, a demoniac who lives in the tombs begins to run toward him and shout at him. 3. The demoniac lives among the tombs howling and hurting himself, and no one can control him. Climax 4. The demoniac asks Jesus not to torment him. 5. When Jesus asks his name, he responds that there is a legion of demons in the man. 6. The demons ask to be sent into a herd of pigs on the hillside. Jesus grants this request, and the pigs rush off the hill and drown themselves in the sea. Falling Action and Resolution 7. The pig herders run off to get the townspeople. 8. When the townspeople arrive, they ask Jesus to leave their region. 9. The man who had the legion of demons begs to follow Jesus. Jesus tells him to go tell everyone what the Lord has done for him. 10. The man amazes everyone with his story.
