Plot

Introduction and Rising Action 1. Jairus, a synagogue leader, approaches Jesus because his daughter is on the verge of death. 2. Jesus goes with Jairus to the girl, but he gets delayed. Before Jesus arrives, someone comes from Jairus’s house and announces that the girl has died. Climax 3. They arrive at Jairus’s house to find a large crowd of mourners weeping and wailing. 4. The crowd laughs at Jesus when he says the girl is merely asleep. 5. Jesus takes only a few people into the room. He tells the little girl to get up. Falling Action and Resolution 6. Immediately, the girl gets up and walks around the house. 7. Everyone is amazed at Jesus, but he orders them to tell no one about this.
