Plot

Introduction and Rising Action 1. Judas has betrayed Jesus to the Jewish priests and elders. 2. They give him an armed crowd to go detain Jesus. Judas arranges that he will kiss Jesus to identify him for the crowd. Climax 3. When Judas arrives at Gethsemane, he greets Jesus with a kiss. 4. The armed crowd with Judas seizes Jesus. 5. One of Jesus’s disciples (Peter) tries to defend Jesus by cutting off the ear of one of the crowd. 6. Jesus rebukes Peter, telling him that this must take place to fulfill the Scriptures.

Falling Action and Resolution 7. The disciples flee as Jesus is taken away.
