Introduction and Rising Action 1. The day after Jesus’s crucifixion, the chief priests and Pharisees gather before Pilate. Climax 2. They remind Pilate that Jesus had predicted that he would rise from the dead. 3. They ask Pilate to make the tomb secure so that Jesus’s disciples cannot come steal the body and falsely claim that Jesus has risen from the dead. Falling Action and Resolution 4. Pilate grants the request, and they make the tomb as secure as they can.
