Plot
Introduction and Rising Action 1. On the night that he killed the firstborn children of Egypt, the Lord passed over the children of Israel in the land. 2. Each family is to slaughter a pure lamb and spread its blood on their door frames. 3. Wherever the Lord saw the blood, he would pass over that house. Climax 4. Each Hebrew family smears the blood on their doors, eats the whole lamb and prepares to leave Egypt that night. 5. The Lord passes through and kills all of Egypt’s firstborn children. 6. Pharaoh summons Moses and Aaron and demands that they and all the Israelites leave Egypt. Falling Action and Resolution 7. The Lord commands his people to celebrate this great event with a yearly festival called Passover, where they would reenact this meal to remember his great deliverance. 8. God led his people out with a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.
