Plot

Introduction and Rising Action 1. The Lord leads the Israelites to the shore of the Red Sea. 2. Pharaohs regrets letting the people go and leads his army to recapture them in the wilderness. He catches up to them at the shore of the Red Sea. 3. The Israelites are terrified of the army. Moses cries out to the Lord for help. Climax 4. The Lord split the sea so that the Israelites could escape. The water formed a wall on either side, but they walked through on dry ground. 5. When Pharaoh pursues the Israelites into the sea, the Lord makes the water crash back in upon them and drown the whole army.

Falling Action and Resolution 6. Moses and the Israelites praise God with a song proclaiming the Lord’s victory.
