Plot
Introduction and Rising Action 1. In response to the rebellion at Kadesh Barnea, the Lord says that he is going to destroy the entire nation except for Moses, Joshua, Caleb, and Aaron. 2. Moses intercedes for the people and prays for the Lord to forgive them. Climax 3. The Lord condemns the people to wander in the desert for forty years until every adult who refused to enter the land dies off. 4. Once the people hear this, they change their mind and decide to attack the Canaanites. 5. The Canaanites defeat them easily.
Falling Action and Resolution 6. For the next forty years, the pillar of cloud and fire leads the people all around the wilderness.
