understanding of the ancient text and our own application of it today. Regardless of what methods or tools we employ, nothing can serve as well as our own disciplined, prayerful, and obedient study of the Word of God. Apart from the aid and leading of the Spirit, we are simply unable to comprehend the meaning of the Scriptures. Yet, if we are humble and diligent, the truth of the Word will come into our lives and transform us as we serve our Lord as disciples of the Kingdom. Not only will such study transform us, but God will also use us as vessels to communicate his Word, both in the Church and in the world, all to his glory. May God give us the passion and energy to be workmen and work women who study to prove ourselves diligent laborers in the Word of God, handling accurately his perfect Word of truth, in order that we may know Christ and make him known, all for his greater glory.
