The works included were chosen as representative of the diversity of voices and perspectives found in the Christian faith. Even though the authors have distinct emphases and while they might disagree with each other at times, there is yet a discernible narrative running throughout their thinking on Christian mission and poverty. In other words, these thinkers can sit down at the table together and provide a coherent conversation about how Christians should live in light of issues related to poverty and people who are poor.
