Seminar 11 Creating Your Strategy

As noted in previous seminars, it is of utmost importance that your team apply the PLANT principles of the Evangel School to the context of the community your church will serve and to the vision God has given you. In this seminar, we will review the PLANT phases of Evangel as applied by World Impact in its church planting efforts. Note that this is offered as an example and descriptive of a contextual strategy. The chart below is not intended to be prescriptive to you and your context. Your task is to take the principles and phases of Evangel and draft your unique strategy. In addition, we will introduce and explain the role of the Evangel Charter. In practical terms, the charter will be used as a coaching document. The charter will summarize your strategic plan and guide your team. Your Evangel Field Coach will utilize the charter as a guide in coaching sessions to review your progress, celebrate victories, address challenges, and suggest necessary course adjustments along the way as needed. In simple terms, the charter is your strategic plan. Therefore, teams should give much prayerful consideration to ensure that the charter clearly represents their goals and strategies.
