Exercise 5 The Driving Force of the Gospel

Your team will need to understand the centrality of the gospel and develop a strategy to proclaim the gospel, contextualize it, and live it out as the church functioning as God’s embassy in the community. Instructions Discuss the following questions as a team and document your answers. Exercise Questions 1. How does the gospel save and transform our lives? 2. What specific areas of your life and in the church have you seen the transforming power of the gospel? 3. Why is it important to understand that the gospel and the Scriptures are all about Jesus? 4. In what ways have you understood this and seen the importance of it in your life, church, and approach to ministry? 5. What does it mean for the gospel to send you and what is your mission? 6. How can you actively participate in fulfilling this mission in your own community? 7. Why is the church referred to as God’s embassy on earth and how will your church proclaim and demonstrate the gospel?
