Exercise 8 Nurture: Mature the Church 1

Your team will need to develop a strategy and plan for nurturing members and developing leaders to function in their spiritual gifts establishing a solid infrastructure. Instructions Discuss the following questions as a team and document your answers. 1. How will you train people to lead the church through individual and group discipleship? 2. Are there any tools or methods you will use to help people discover their gifts and talents God has given them for the church? 3. How will you assign responsibility to the faithful? 4. How will you encourage believers to exercise their gifts in the church? 5. How will you go about training a gifted, but undeveloped leader? 6. What characteristics are you looking for in potential leaders? 7. What characteristics are red flags that should give you caution? 8. What will serve as your standard for new church leadership? 9. How will you empower and equip women and men for church leadership?
