1. Our Purpose – the Gospel of the Kingdom proclaimed by the empowered urban poor to every people group through indigenous churches and movements 2. Our Mission – to empower urban leaders and partner with local churches to reach their city with the Gospel 3. Our Vision – a healthy church planted in every community of poverty 4. Our Theological Confession – the Word of God as illumined by the Holy Spirit and expressed in the Nicene Creed 5. Our Strategic Commitments – evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, church planting, and church planting movements as expressed in World Impact’s PLANT acrostic (Prepare, Launch, Assemble, Nurture, Transition) 6. Our Focus – to equip church plant trainers working among the poor to run their own Evangel School of Urban Church Planting within their ministry context The Kingdom of God is a movement. It is not static but constantly expanding and advancing. It works itself throughout the universe to attain a specific end. What is that end? “Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power” (1 Cor. 15.24). Everyone who has submitted to the obedient faith of the Lord Jesus, the rightful King, will be under His loving Kingly reign for all eternity. Presently we see signs of Kingdom movement in and through the lives of Christ followers who submit to His rule (Acts 4.13). This movement is in their new creation DNA. “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3.18).
