Ripe for Harvest

320 • R IPE FOR H ARVEST

Anyname Fellowship wholeheartedly proclaims the principle of every member a minister of the gospel. The old understanding of ministry (one clergy, many members of the congregation) can be illustrated by a diagram which conceived as a local church having a single minister, and everyone in the church helping his ministry to be successful.

VII. At Anyname Fellowship, we conceive of every Christian being a minister, possessed with their own gifts, calling, and opportunities to win others for Christ. The pastoral team strives to help each minister be successful in the ministry that God has called them.

VIII. Although we thank God for trained, salaried, professional pastoral staff and administration, our aim is to equip every Christian to minister at AF, and be equipped for every good work that God may call them to. We want to encourage each Christian to discover his or her God-given gifts (Eph. 4.7-8), and freely exercise these gifts in the church (1 Cor. 12 and 14). We confess that all Christians may minister the ordinances (the Lord’s supper and baptism), and that every believer can be powerfully used of the Lord to make disciples, do good works, and make an impact on their community for Christ.

How do these verses speak of the need for us to do good works in the world, and so testify to Christ?

A. Eph. 2.10

B. Gal. 6.10

C. Titus 2.11-14

D. Matt. 5.14-16

E. 1 Pet. 2.9-10
