Ripe for Harvest

346 • R IPE FOR H ARVEST

Rev. 20.10 (ESV) – And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Rev. 20.15 (ESV) – And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

C. Once all God’s enemies have been put down by Christ, including death, divine warfare will cease; God will become all in all.

1 Cor. 15.22-28 (ESV) – For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

D. As a result of all warfare, God will receive all the glory in all the warfare; the glory and the praise belongs exclusively to the Lord.

Exod. 14.1-4 (ESV) – Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea. For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, ‘They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.
