D. The discipler’s role in equipping the saints

1. Become a model of a faithful churchman.

2. Refuse to acknowledge “Lone Ranger” ministry: submit to the authority of the leaders in your local church, Heb. 13.17.

3. Acknowledge the calling and gifting of God in the life of each person in the church.

4. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the gifts and place for your disciple in the body.

5. Encourage experimentation and participation in dimensions of the body.

6. Serve together with the disciple in body-building ministries or activities.

7. Allow the disciple to intern in a ministry or work under your supervision, oversight, and care.
