1. He/she enjoys an intimate communion with the Lord (John 10.1-6; 15.12-14).

a. Is unconditionally available to Christ as Lord (filled with the Holy Spirit)

b. Hungers to become more and more like Christ in vision, character, and service

c. Solid devotional life of personal worship, meditation, and prayer

d. Lifestyle of praise, worship, and celebration

e. Abiding trust in the leading and provision of God in Christ

f. Glorifies God in the temple of his/her body, mind, and spirit

2. He/she upholds a believing stance grounded upon a biblical vision of Christ and his Kingdom (John 8.31-32). a. Thorough understanding of the Holy Scriptures (i.e. its themes, history, and key principles) b. Maintains a Christ-centered world view, seeing life from God’s vantage point c. Grounded in the fundamentals of the faith, able to share and reproduce them d. Growing ability to rightly divide the Word of truth (i.e. hear, read, study, memorize, and meditate)

3. He/she displays a godly walk through conduct and lifestyle at home, on the job and in the community (John 17.14-23).

d. Maintains godly reputation with friends, neighbors, and community
