Lord God, heavenly Father, from whom we continuously receive all good things so lavishly, and by whom we are daily safe-guarded from all evil so graciously, help us, we beseech Thee, to appropriate all these gifts through Thy Holy Spirit with full heart and true faith, so that we may thank and praise Thy gentle goodness and mercy; through Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord. Amen.

Will the True Religion Please Stand Up?
In a philosophy class at the local junior college, one of the church elders encountered the idea of “cultural relativism.” This idea suggests that all cultures are equal, and all of their various belief systems, religious notions, and ethical norms are equally valid. This idea has troubled the church leader, who believes that Jesus Christ is somehow unique and primary above and beyond all other religious systems and ideas. How ought he to understand this particular view of “cultural relativism,” and how does this idea relate to the Bible’s claim that God’s revelation in Jesus is somehow once-for-all and final (cf. Heb. 1.1-2)?
