2. Jesus is the key to all facets of the sacrificial system in the old covenant.

a. He is the Passover sacrifice , 1 Cor. 5.7.

b. He is the High Priest depicted in the Old Testament Day of Atonement, Heb. 9.13-14; 10.11-14.

c. He transcends the Aaronic priesthood , being after the high priestly order of Melchizedek, Heb. 7.1-28.

d. He is the fulfillment of the Temple (he associates his body with the Temple itself), John 2.18-22.

3. Jesus is associated with the very person and work of God in the Old Testament.

a. He is Lord upon his throne, the vision of Jehovah given to Isaiah.
