Notice this sense of representation again in the following texts: Matt. 10.40 – Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. Mark 9.37 – Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me. Luke 9.48 – and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” John 12.44 – And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.” John 12.48 – The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. John 13.20 – Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. These questions are designed to ensure that the students understand the critical aims and facts presented in the video. Your role as mentor is to use the questions to review the key concepts and insights presented in the video, as well as draw out the students to see that they understand them as presented. It will be necessary, of course, for you to gauge your time well, especially if your students are intrigued with the concepts, and want to discuss their implications at length. Your class session and its length should guide you in the kind of freedom you give yourself and your students to interact on the various concerns and issues that emerge from your dialogue.
