c. The transgression of sin is covered, and pardoned because propitiation provides a way that a righteous God may justly forgive the transgressor.
d. The propitiation affirmed God’s righteous anger against sin, covered the sin of the transgressor, and allowed God to be merciful to the penitent sinner.
e. The propitiation allows God to affirm his infinite holiness while, at the very same time, pardon the guilty sinner: his righteousness is not compromised in the display of mercy.
