LESSON 3 | PRACTICING CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP: EFFECTIVE WORSHIP LEADING / 333

Receiving prayer for the areas that the Spirit brings to mind is one of the key means of receiving the needed grace we must have to glorify God in our role as Christian leaders. Do not hesitate to share with your mentor and fellow students your need for prayer, and be careful to offer faithful intercession for them as you lift them up before the Lord. Prayer is not merely a little pause at the beginning and end of a session, it is the life blood of receiving Christ’s ongoing aid in times of need. Remember the good advice of Hebrews: Heb. 4.14-16 – Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. [15] For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
