II. God’s Rule has been Inaugurated through God’s Covenant Promise Culminating in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ.

A. The coming of Jesus of Nazareth is viewed as the Davidic King who would restore the reign of God for Israel.

1. He would rule over the house of Jacob forever, Luke 1.31-33.

2. Jesus came proclaiming the Kingdom of God fulfilled with his appearing, Mark 1.14-15.

3. Jesus is the Messiah, the prophesied Lord of the Davidic lineage who would restore God’s reign in the earth.
