Hast thou no scar?

No hidden scar on foot, or side, or hand?

I hear thee sung as mighty in the land.

I hear them hail thy bright ascendant star.

Has thou no scar?

Hast thou no wound?

Yet I was wounded by the archers, spent,

Leaned Me against a tree to die; and rent

By ravening beasts that compassed Me, I swooned;

And, pierced are the feet that follow Me;

But thine are whole; can he have followed far

I. Jesus the Final and Full Revelation of God: In order to understand the Father, we must come to know the person of Jesus Christ.

II. Jesus the Finished Redemption of God: Jesus alone is God’s anointed prophet and priest to bring us back into relationship to God.

III. Finally, not only is Jesus God’s Full Revelation and finished Redemption, he is also the Final Rule and standard of true humanity.
