The final will be a take home exam, and will include questions taken from the first three quizzes, new questions on material drawn from this lesson, and essay questions which will ask for your short answer responses to key integrating questions. Also, you should plan on reciting or writing out the verses memorized for the course on the exam. When you have completed your exam, please notify your mentor and make certain that they get your copy. Please note: Your module grade cannot be determined if you do not take the final exam and turn in all outstanding assignments to your mentor (ministry project, exegetical project, and final exam). In this lesson we have explored the concept of a global Christian vision, one which would allow for us as urban Christian leaders to think globally but act locally. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ, God’s very own beachhead and outpost of the Kingdom of God. As ambassadors of that Kingdom we are called to demonstrate freedom, wholeness, and justice as we engage the world. We are called to bear witness of the Rule of God in our lives, our words, and our deeds, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. As such, we are equally called to grapple with issues like poverty, oppression, the environment, ethnocentrism, and the issues of war and violence. Truly, to be a Christian is to be in the world, but not of it, to bear witness to the Age to come in the midst of this present age. Only through Christ and his Spirit can we become the kind of Christian peacemakers that our tortured world so desperately needs. Our sincere prayer for you is that as you represent the Kingdom of Jesus Christ you will give living demonstration of its power and beauty, and flesh out in practical, tangible ways the life-giving power of God through Christ and his people. May God, the Holy Spirit, give you the desire and the ability to pursue God’s justice and mercy in the midst of the urban communities where you live, work, and witness. Amen!
