food from God. [22] When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens. [23] Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening. [24] O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

1. The abundance of the earth is provided for through God’s generous providential care.

2. God is the operative cause of every good and perfect gift enjoyed by human beings everywhere, James 1.17.

3. The earth and its supply is resourced by God’s hands for all the inhabitants on the earth.

4. The earth is the Lord’s, and is full of his possessions.

5. Implications: All of the bounty and nutrients that sustains human life everywhere is given by God without respect of persons or favor , Matt. 5.44-45.

E. Human beings are the objects of God’s unmerited, unconditional favor and grace. John 3.16-17 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

1. God loved without qualification or partiality everyone in the entire world, living, dead, and yet unborn.
