B. Though unbelievers do not share in this renewal of the image of God, they still share in the very likeness of God.
1. Human life is therefore unique, irreplaceable, and precious.
2. Doing justice and loving mercy, even toward those who do not know Christ, is both mandated and necessary.
3. Each human being is priceless and worthy to be loved, protected, and cared for.

C. The imago Dei in every human being is the ground of our doing justice and loving mercy.
1. Refuse to endorse, therefore, any escapist or conformist notions of the world, asking God to give you grace to re-engage the world as being one who is in it, but not of it.
2. Affirm the uniqueness and preciousness of human life , at all levels, unborn, infants and children, the elderly.
3. Allow the biblical view of God as creator and humankind made in the image of God to reinterpret your “theological anthropology” (i.e., the doctrine of humanity) to conform you to the Bible’s high and wondrous view of human beings.
4. Reject any conflicts between social justice, loving mercy, and evangelization.
