The point of this story coincides with the questions below on the concepts to be discussed in this section. Concentrate on the critical role that godliness, maturity, and preparation in life have in the kind of evangelistic ministry we will be able to have as we follow God’s direction in evangelistic outreach. This segment deals with a potpourri of important ideas related to urban evangelism: prayer, personal soul winning, public preaching, and the oikos principle . You should strive to master as much as you can on these ideas in the outline in order that you will be able to help your students gain an understanding of the significance of each of these issues for urban evangelism. The limitation of the actual session prohibits any in-depth or full treatment of these worthy subjects. You will have to do no more than direct your students to understand the concepts generally, and then, based on the general overview, direct them to other Scriptures and resources that may help them fill out their curiosities with more knowledge of these critical issues.

I believe that the concept of oikos is arguably one of the most important concepts in all of urban ministry, not just evangelism and spiritual warfare. This concept is critical not so much because is it something that the evangelist does as it is something which relationships provide .
