Gospel of the Kingdom or Gospel of the Grace of God

Jehovah’s Witnesses had been canvassing the neighborhood, and when they dropped by your apartment last week they asserted that the only gospel which Jesus preached was the Gospel of the Kingdom, which is in fact different from the Gospel of the Grace of God which the Christian churches normally speak about in their meetings. The Gospel of the Kingdom is the rule of God’s sovereignty made available for all who join Jehovah’s organization, the Jehovah’s Witnesses. All other gospel presentations, according to those who were canvassing, is not from Jehovah but man-made. What is the relationship between the two (if in fact they are two) gospels, i.e., the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of the Grace of God?

More Showing, Less Telling

In discussing the need for Gospel preaching with a Christian relief representative, the person made a statement that demanded a response. She said, “The problem with so many of you Bible-believing types is that you love to preach at others but you refuse to just love people where they are. I believe that you can preach the Good News by not even saying a single word. You guys would do yourselves much good if you did more showing of the Gospel with deeds of compassion and less telling of it with words.” What do you think about her statement?
