A. Ascended to the Father’s right hand: Jesus as exalted Prince and Savior

1. All authority is given to the risen Jesus, Matt. 28.18-20.

2. Jesus leads evangelistic efforts from his exalted place with the Father, Acts 2.32-36.

B. Session in heaven: Jesus as reigning Lord of all

1. Jesus is the Glorified Son of God, God’s Regent, Heb. 1.1-4.

2. Jesus is the Head of the Church, Eph. 1.20-23.

3. Jesus is the Lord of the harvest, (the Giver of the Great Commission).

a. He will be with us always in our mission, to the end, Matt. 29.19-20 .

b. He is Lord of the harvest, Matt. 9.35-38.

V. He Will Come Again to Consummate His Kingdom: the Coming Reign of Jesus Christ.

A. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
