The credible testimony which serves as a solid foundation for Christian witness is a lived faith, reflected in a zeal to do good works , especially on behalf of those who are poor and most vulnerable. Urban evangelism involves establishing programs of consistent, prevailing intercessory praye r, both for those who share and those who hear the Good News. Effective evangelistic outreach will equip individual Christians to win souls by sharing their personal testimony. Public preaching and evangelistic outreach must be a critical element in all urban evangelism and ministry to the lost. Entire networks of friends and kinship relationships can be penetrated through a focused, prayerful outreach to the various household networks, or the individual oikos of each Christian in their own sphere of influence. Now is the time for you to discuss with your fellow students your questions about discovering credible ways to communicate the Good News in our urban communities. Hopefully you have seen that evangelism can never be reduced down to techniques and methods; evangelism , in the end, is about the calling and preparation of evangelists , those set apart to represent the Lord and his kingdom message. Surely as you have considered these ideas, the Lord, the Holy Spirit, has spoken to you about some aspect of your own life and ministry that he wants you to address. As you have covered these texts of Scripture, what particular questions have arisen about your own life and ministry? Maybe some of the questions below might help you form your own, more specific and critical questions. * What kind of testimony do I currently have right now, in my family, among the believers in my fellowship, and with those who are on the outside? * Are there areas in my own personal life that currently disqualify me from representing the Lord? What is the Spirit saying to me about those areas? * Am I equipped adequately to share my personal testimony one on one or in a private setting with others? How do I get prepared to share my testimony, using Scripture and my own personal journey with the Lord?
