Spiritual Child Abandonment
In every place where civilized societal practices are honored, abandoning a child to their own devices and resources is considered a crime punishable by severe and prolonged prison sentences. Yet, every day many well meaning people in ministry feel no sense of shame whatsoever by sharing the good news of Christ with individuals while taking no time to ensure that they will be cared for spiritually after their acceptance of Christ as Savior. How would you finish the following sentence: “If there ever was a thing to be defined as spiritual child abandonment, it would most certainly have to include . . .”(.) Discuss your answers to your definitions of spiritual child abandonment.
