a. Jesus’ ministry was to usher in the kingdom reign with Jerusalem being a significant part of that display.

b. Because of its spiritual ignorance, his reign over Jerusalem was rejected.

3. Christianity was birthed in a city, Jerusalem, and spread via the great urban centers of the Roman world in the first century. Ours is an urban religion, which took root in cities such as Damascus, Antioch, Corinth, Philippi, Thessalonica, Athens, and even Rome.
