biblical missiology. Their understanding of the normal terms and their usage in biblical criticism and theological studies is important, especially if they desire to continue their study of missiological themes and issues in other places. Again, please allow for the proper time to focus in on the main points, and still have enough time for a break before the next video segment is started. In each lesson you are given a list of the central concepts covered in the lesson. This is an extremely helpful section, both for you and your students’ review of the key insights that the lesson materials were seeking to cover. They are written in a way to concisely summarize the diverse data covered in the lesson, with a focus upon the video portion and your guided discussion with them. Remind the students how useful this section is, both for reviewing the lesson data, as well as preparing for the quizzes and exam they will be taking throughout this course. One of the key skills we hope to train our students in is the ability to be rigorously open and frank about their own lives, and the application of biblical truth to the practical dimension of their walk with Christ. In order to help train them in this skill, this section was included in all of our Capstone modules. It is specifically designed to help the students come face to face with the implications of a particular line of the discussion’s meaning for their own life. As you support them in this effort, you may want to model this for them by speaking of how you see the truths impacting the various dimensions of your own life. Moreover, you may want to design some of your own questions to “prime the pump” of their interests, so to speak. What is most important is that we use this time to not merely rehash data, but to get down to the bottom line of the things that they are thinking, feeling, and choosing in their own lives, and how the truths of the lesson impact those thoughts, affection, and decisions.
