1. Oppression and mistreatment are harshly warned against by the Lord, Exod. 22.21-27

2. It is sinful and immoral to oppress the poor, Deut. 24.15, 17-19.

3. God will hold the oppressor personally accountable for their mistreatment of the vulnerable and weak, Ps. 82.1-4.

4. God is personally insulted at the mistreatment of a poor person, and is honored by the person who shows respect to the poor, Prov. 14.31.
