F. Implications for understanding mission today: Mission is the Promise Proclaimed to the Nations .

1. God commanded the apostles to proclaim to the world that Jesus of Nazareth is the fulfillment of the promise, Acts 10.37-42.

2. Jesus gave a commission to his disciples to proclaim the promise fulfilled in himself beginning at Jerusalem, to the very ends of the earth.
