B. The concept of the locale church: an association of like-minded congregations in close affinity (common interests or background) or proximity (location) which offer one another benefits through the connection without overthrowing congregational independence.
In a company of two is the church. But the church is Christ. When, then, you cast yourself at the brethren’s knees, you are handling Christ. You are entreating Christ. In like manner, when they shed tears over you, it is Christ who suffers, Christ who begs the Father for mercy. ~ Tertullian (c. 203, W), 3.664., Ibid.

a. 1 Thess. 2.14 - For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea . For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews.
b. Rom. 16.3-4 - Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, [4] who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well.

c. Acts 15.41 - And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches .
d. 2 Cor. 8.1 - We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia .
e. Rev. 1.4 - John to the seven churches that are in Asia : Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne.
