E. How do we find and equip these kind of bishops (pastoral guardians) for our urban churches?

1. Pray for them (ask God to supply godly overseers for his Church, Acts 20.28).

2. Recognize that the “self-existing” concepts, while sufficient for conceiving life within an assembly, are inadequate for authentic body life between and among congregations and ministers .

3. Work on understanding the believers and their congregations in your locale.

a. Do your demographics.

b. Introduce yourself to the pastors and churches in your area.

c. Connect at the various unified efforts to connect believers in your neighborhood.

d. Recruit solid pastors to a vision of strengthening the church in our locale.

4. Begin to shift your loyalties from your own affairs to the church in your area and city .

5. Share this vision with your own pastor.
