as you provide oversight, give counsel, or live as a model for others around you. Ask for the intercessory help of your fellow students and instructor as you seek God’s leading and filling. Also, if you find that you require counsel to deal with a particular situation, make an appointment to see your immediate ministry supervisor, Bible study leader, pastor, or whomever you submit to in your tradition, and seek their aid and counsel. Remember, the soundness of the advice given to us in Proverbs on the nature and importance of godly counsel:

Prov. 11.14 - Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
Prov. 15.22 - Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.
Prov. 24.6 - For by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.

Reading Assignment
As always, your between-class work plays a significant role in your ability to be prepared for every phase of our in-class discussion and dialogue. Please read carefully the assignments above, and as last week, write a brief summary for them and bring these summaries to class next week (please see the “Reading Completion Sheet” at the end of this lesson). Also, now is the time to begin to think about the character of your ministry project, as well as decide what passage of Scripture you will select for your exegetical project. Do not delay in determining either your ministry or exegetical project. The sooner you select, the more time you will have to prepare!
